Winter Fun
I just loved winter as a kid. Something I miss with living on the West Coast these last few years. Since we bought our house in a neighborhood on a higher elevation of the Greater Vancouver area, winter weather and conditions have happily re-entered my life.
Loved today and playing with my daughter in the snow for the first time. Later I got these shots of my boy and hubby building a snowman.
The lighting seemed perfect with dusk just settling in hence the purplish sky, and our backyard lighting on illuminating the snow just perfectly. Great fun playing around with the camera in such different lighting conditions than I am used to, and I love the result.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!!

4Cats Capitol Hill 'Under The Sea' Workshop
Back in March I photographed a workshop at 4Cats Capitol Hill located on Hastings in North Burnaby near Willingdon. I was invited by curator Maggie Murphy to take the photos which are to be featured in the summer issue of the 4Cats Magazine. The Workshop, called 'Under the Sea', lets kids create an under the sea painting on real canvas with acrylic paint, sand and glitter. It was amazing to see the whole process unfold and how these kids could make such cool paintings on their own. Great job kids!
Thanks for inviting me down! Look for the article and some of these photos and an AD for Elle Photography in the summer issue of 4Cats magazine coming soon!
As they say at 4Cats...."Art is Good".
